Photoshoot wearing Grandma's 50's frocks.

We had family come and stay at the farm over the holidays.  Its becoming tradition for my niece and I to do "photos" when she comes now.  She brings the dresses and I find the location and take the pics.  We have a lot of fun.  She's a gorgeous girl.  Amazing hair and eyes.
This time she brought a couple of Grandma's original 50's frocks to model.  I can't wait to see them on Miss Six when she grows up too.
I was talking to Grandma last night and she thinks this dress was made by a dress maker working in  The Royal Arcade in Melbourne.  She's going to see if she can find a photo of herself wearing it which I would love. It would be great to have some photos of the different generations in the same dress.

Checking her mobile phone like they did in the 50's!

Some cousinly love.
Usually we dress up Miss Six for photos as well but she had been running under the sprinkler and wasn't looking particularly photogenic this day.  Its not like she doesn't get photos taken on a regular basis.

The best part of the afternoon was having someone to twirl with.

  1. The twirling photo is a favourite.
How amazing that you still have these frocks, and still as stylish as they were all those years ago. x

  2. How green is your garden?!?!?!?
Lovely pics and what a lovely dress.

  3. Where's the Lachy baby puke on shoulder pic??? ;-)
She's a stunner, nice pics by you Deary xx
