Giveaway.

You may have noticed I'm not a big one for giveaways, I don't really have them and I tend not to enter them unless I know the blogger. I realised today that I've reached 250 followers. I used to look at blogs with that many followers and think they must be really interesting people, never thinking I'd ever have that many people interested in my goings on.

So, what am I trying to say. I think I'll have a giveaway. Open to my followers only. Just to say thankyou for being there and giving me someone to talk to. Leave a comment on this post to enter. You don't have to say anything too clever or special but I would love to hear what in particular you like about my children's clothes, my quilts or my blog.

Size 2-3 shirried tulip dress.

Winner drawn next week.

Oh and the prize.
One of my shirred dresses (similar to above) and some matching hair clips.
I have a new bolt of fabric so the winner can have the first dress off the bolt.
Stay tuned, pictures to come in the next few days.
International bloggers welcome to enter.
Have a happy Wednesday.

  2. Congratulations on 250... WOW! I had 7, but am down to 6 haha! I began following your blog, as I am an aspiring quilter, I look for inspiration and knowledge, and there is a small community of wonderful women I draw much inspiration from. I sewed in highschool some 18 years ago, and even won some impressive ribbons at the shows! But its a skill you loose when you don't use, and I am regaining my confidence. What is interesting is that I have been looking to make some clothing for my daughter latley... whoohoo big step!!! You are one of the loves who has inspired me to dip my toes back into that pool... we'll see how I go haha! x

  15. 250 followers??? WWWoooww congratulations!!!! What do I like about your blog??? I found it very interesting since the day I found it,. I like to read about your life on a farm in Australia, I love to see your beautiful kids and how they grow up, and I LOVE to see your work (and also your mom´s work when you have something to show!! haha!!!).
I am so sorry I don´t have any little girls around anymore, so I leave it up to you, you can count me in or not for the giveaway, but if I win I want you to donate the dress for a raffle at your town´s school or the charity of your choice. I hope that is ok with you. I don´t mind if you prefer not to count me in, ok?!!!!
    Congratulations, July!!

  18. I found your blog a few weeks/couple months ago (can't remember exactly how I came across it) and I have been following you ever since. I love your quilts, the style, and the colors/fabric choices. I have also started sewing a bit for my little one and so I love to see all the wee clothes you make. I think it's funny that we have similar tastes and yet you are a half a world away from me, and I really think it's ironic the way we are just entering spring and you are entering fall... it all seems so interesting! And I relly love that you run a farm. We bought a few acres over her (in the US) recently and we are still figuring out what to do with it (and how), so I love hearing about what you are doing. I guess I could have just summed it up by saying, "what's not to love?"

  20. Hi Julie, Well since I have some of your dresses & shirts for my little Amy I obviously love them! I love them as they are different from you can buy in the shops & I know Amy won't be dressed in the same outfit as 10 other little girls at Playgroup etc. Keep up the great work! Rebecca

  21. I think your dresses are great!! I just finished making a couple of onesie dresses and a pillowcase dress. They are quick and fun to make. I made a baby quilt out of the tweet tweet fabric you have chosen. If I won I would give the dress to Maddison so she would have a dress to match her quilt!!
