Stepping back


We have an interesting weekend planned. We are going to North Tuppal Station to see the re-enactment of Tom Robert's painting Shearing the Rams (above).

The 72 stand shearing shed has been restored by volunteers taking 7000 hours, re-stumping the shed, fixing pens etc. Riders are droving 3500 sheep over three days as part of the re-enactment, 5000 sheep will be shorn in two days. They will be shearing most of them by machine but at 1pm Saturday 72 shears will blade shear to re-enact the photo.
