Shirring.

Our patchwork/craft group resumed today. I was nearly late, I had my "photographer" here doing a pic of my secret project. Thanks so much Mel. I quickly grabbed my machine and a handful of cut out dresses and managed to get three shirred in between lots of talking and ooing and ahhing over a cute little bub that joined us.

  1. Babies, they're a terrible distraction aren't they?? Sigh, none around here for a while - I miss having a little one to hang on to......

  4. I just love how shirring a fabric transforms it into something wonderful. It makes its own sort of linear pattern ontop of the original print. Gorgeous! X

  7. Peanut has a shirred-top dress that she loves, but I hate when she wears it; it rubs her delicate skin and leaves rough, itchy marks behind! She's such a bloody girl though, she'll wear it at any cost.
