Fiddly bits.

I started this top ages ago and it got thrown on the "I don't want to look at pile" because after all my work I tried it on and my bra shows out the sides. Probably simple enough to fix with a frill/flap/ruffle or something I agree, but I just haven't done it for some reason, so here it is, on my blog, tomorrow's job. I'll have to do it now won't I! At least then I can get some wear out of it while the weather is still hot. Guarenteed it will only take me an hour, silly isn't it. Does anybody else do this? The easier solution would be go braless, mmm, maybe not.

  1. This top looks lovely, and you cold always invest in a strapless bra! ;-)

  2. OK, my brother, or I'm assuming my future SIL using his sign on, has just come up with that brilliant solution. Just in case anyone thought I may have a stalker.

  4. Yep, I'd have to go the strapless route too, the top looks too nice to alter. Great fabric Julie, you can't go past chocolate and teal can you?

  7. Come on, if you were a teeny bopper, you'd just show off your bra! Hee Hee! We must be showing our age wanting to be a little more discreet. Either a strapless bra or a frill would do the shot. I'm sure you'll have it looking great now that you have made yourself accountable.

  8. If you're like me, too many years and too many breast fed babies to let my girls loose on the world! It would have to be some sort of boob upholstery and/or an altered top for me. Looking forward to seeing your solution. Love the fabric.

  10. Good to know that I'm not alone when it comes to unfinished sewing projects! Hope you find a happy outcome for the new top and yourself. It's just frustrating to have a lovely piece of clothing left hanging in the wardrobe.
