Fiddling.

Its hot, I'm tired, I couldn't get my head around any sewing today, or housework for that matter. Popped a Berocca and put the Dixie Chicks on hoping for some motivation to hit. It must have been the music, I remembered my poor old neglected fiddle hiding away, so while no one was around I tuned her up and had a play. Not exactly music to the ears, I really should get it out more often. If anything, I'm hoping it will make the possum in the roof reconsider his living arrangements.

  2. Hey Julie! Oh dear! I laughed so very hard when I read of your novel anti-possum warfare! Tee! Hee! Hee! I'm sure it wasn't really all that bad ... though ... possums make a lot of strange noises, so perhaps he'll think there's a sexy new lady possum who's moved in and he'll never leave again! :0) Only about 28 degrees here today with quite a lot of teasing clouds, so very pleasant. Hope you get a cool change soon. Bear Hugs! KRIS

  3. Did it occur that he might actually like it and stay indefinitely?? The cool change has just hit here, dropped 10* in 15mins, lots of storms though and 7mm of rain - all good!!

Practice makes perfect! You could play along with the Dixie Chicks!!!

That possum must be hot as H up in your roof! They must enjoy the heat...

  5. That sounds like fun! I have a cello hidden away, but I'm afraid if I tried playing it these days that it would send more than the possums running for cover!

Hope you get some more chances to have a play.

  6. Oh hot & bothered too, but on a mission!! My FIL plays a good fiddle, me, not interesting in music, more sporty type. You'll be sewing & in the groove again soon. I used mad housework in the heat as an excuse to skip the treadmill last night, paid off!! Love Posie
