One of my all time favourite bloggers is quitting. Amanda Jean from Crazy Mum Quilts is calling it a day. I feel like I'm losing a friend. Her work is amazing and so inspiring.

If you haven't already seen her blog make sure you have a look, she isn't sure how long she will leave it up. I have plans one day of making a ticker tape quilt like this one of hers. I hope she writes a book one day. I'm sure it would be a best seller. Bye Amandajean.

  1. Hi Julie, how do you do?? I'm a friend of Corrie's & i'm very much enjoying your blog. Love the new header, those vintage reels are amazing. Happy sewing with your new Brother, i have the same as Corrie's current Brother in a copy cat/ high recommended fashion. I sold an old small Brother to another mummy at school last year, never missed a beat, they're great.
I'd love to visit an Amish community too, oh to see their quilts up close, what a dream. A few families from school are moving to Washington & Virginia USA & it's on their list of things to do, see & buy!! Love Posie

  2. I feel exactly the same way Julie - how will we survive?

  3. oh I know! I feel sad! I better go and read more then as I thought she'd just keep it there forever! boohoo but I guess you can think how many great things she'll do with all that time she's not blogging!

  4. It's sad that she feels such pressure to blog that she can't do it anymore! She offers such good inspiration and advice but I have no expectation that she'll finish a quilt a week or post 3 times a week....

  5. Love that quilt Amanda Jean made!

I think quite a few quilt bloggers are feeling overwhelmed, or just not interested anymore... 8-(

    AJ will be missed...
