Tree planting

We have some extra helpers staying this weekend (my Mum and Dad).  During the week I purchased some more tubes of trees for planting.  We did another tree line yesterday about eighty trees, all planted, watered and nice strong tree guards around them.  We have had trouble with hares eating off trees in the past.

Then this morning it rained, perfect for new little trees and the paddocks.  This is looking from the front of the house to the west at storm clouds coming.  The lichen on the deciduous trees glows lime green in the morning sun.

A "super huge" carrot from the vegie patch.
Patrick wants to keep it for the Easter Bunny.

  1. Wow, Julie, that is SOME carrot! And what a cute little guy holding it too!

We have three little raised beds for our garden and my son plants half of one bed with carrots. What a difference between store bought and fresh from the ground!

Your trees are beautiful, both the old ones and the new. What a nice piece of land you have there.
