One.

My little girl turned one today.  Here she is with her new block truck which was MY first birthday present.  My brother and parents restored it for her.  The blocks and handle are original.  The timber and wheels had to be replaced.

My Mum also made this ginger fluff cake, Patrick helped decorate it today.  It was delicious.

I can't believe its been a year already.  We had a bit of a rocky start with some medical dramas but she is all good now.  One flight in an air ambulance with a sick kid is enough thankyou.

The other exciting news of the week is the damage caused to our double garage door by gale force winds.  The weight holding the door snapped, smashing glass and buckling the door, I think the whole thing will have to be replaced.  It took us half a day to pick up all the glass and pry the door open so we could get the cars out.  So no stitching photos today!

The cake looks very yummy, and how wonderful for her to have what Mommy had to play with as a child!
Tis a pain fixing, or getting fixed what mother nature has broken!!! Been there, done that too!
